Building On Your Own Land
Building a home on your own land (also known as a scattered site) can be a stressful and mind numbing ordeal, if you allow it. The best way to avoid the headaches generally associated with building a new home is, like anything in life, to do your research up front. There are numerous variables that go into building on your land and you want to be sure that you have as many of those accounted for before you sign a contract with any builder. To find out more about building on your own land and what to expect before starting the process with any builder, click here for our "Building On Your Own Land" special report. If you have any questions or if you would like to speak with a Greth Customer Associate about the Greth experience on your land, contact us and we'll be happy to walk you through it step by step.
What’s a Greth "Customer Associate"?
A Customer Associate is your personal liaison to learning, planning, and building your dream home. Every individual at our open houses or following up to contacts made to Greth has gone
through a rigorous training course
typically lasting 4 months in a very hands-on environment. Not only are Customer Associate’s trained on how to handle the real estate paper work or choosing options and colors, but also provide a strong understanding of how each Greth Home is built. We feel that the more educated our Customer Associate’s are on the building process and the systems in our homes, it’s more benefit our customers get from working with Greth Homes.
So you may be thinking that a Customer Associate is like a realtor. Well, not exactly. Customer Associates are Greth employees who are focused on one thing; ensuring you get the home you have always dreamed of. Customer Associates don’t hold a real estate license, which allows them to focus solely on you and your new home. We have also found that many people enjoy working directly with us when building a home because it allows them to be more involved. We always welcome our potential customers and their real estate agents, but regardless of whether you have an agent or not, you will be provided assistance form day one through settlement day from our trained Customer Associates.
There is no fee associated with working builder direct at Greth Homes, so that you can avoid brokers fee’s that some real estate agencies have begun charging. We kindly ask that if you are using a real estate agent that you or your agent notifies us at the first contact.

Greth Homes Warranty and Customer Service Team
Every builder in the world can advertise their warranty and customer service as impeccable. The real question you need to ask is, how many of them can actually live up to it? At Greth Homes we don't need to spend thousands of dollars every year convincing potential homebuyers that our customer service will impress you at every turn. We can't show in a commercial how many people still love Greth, and the home they built 4, 5, or even 10 years after they have moved in. The reason - our customers who have trusted us with their biggest investment, do that every day.
While location and price typically take precedence when shopping for a builder, you need to be looking beyond settlement. What many consumers don't consider is if that builder will be there for you after you move in. Let's be honest, no home is perfect. We can't promise a single customer there may not be an issue that pops up after they move in. What we can promise, is that the warranty on their home is something we take very serious, and you should too.
